3M Heat Shrink Tubing FP-301 is a general purpose, thin wall tubing that provides a balance of electrical, physical and chemical properties, making it ideal for industrial and military applications. This tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio and provides flame retardant insulation for 600V rated applications. It has a flexible polyolefin construction that offers moisture seal protection.

    The 3M™ Heat Shrink Thin-Wall Tubing FP-301 is mainly used to protect and insulate wires, cables and other electrical components from environmental factors such as heat, moisture, corrosion etc.

  2. How do I use the tubing?

    To use the tubing, simply slide it over the cable or wire you want to cover. Then apply heat using a heat gun or other similar tool until the tube shrinks around your wiring - creating a protective seal.

The tubing is color coded, making it easy to identify the wire that it is covering. This split resistant and flame retardant tubing is used as shrink fit, electrical insulation over cable splices or terminations. The high expansion ratio tubing is mechanically tough, easily markable and resists cold flow.

The product is ideal for a variety of applications, including lightweight wire harness covering, fire-resistant covering, wire marking, wire bundling, and component packaging. It can withstand temperatures ranging from 67 to 275 degrees F (55 to 135 degrees C), making it suitable for use in a wide range of environments.
